Who says kids only want junk food? The fact that healthy food is harder to come by on the streets of South L.A. , yet is plentiful in other parts of town has not gone unnoticed by South L.A. youth. Some kids do care about what goes into their bodies as evidenced by this video , created as a class project by Moreau Halliburton. Moreau not only speaks to the difficulty in finding healthy food in her neighborhood, but she also outlines the results of our shopping elsewhere and the benefits of forming a co-op.
The children are watching, and they’re calling for action.
