Here’s a great way to support our SoLA Food Co-op: On Saturday November 19 at 8PM, the Cornerstone Theater is presenting a night of entertainment that includes a short play by SoLA’s own Bahni Turpin!
Artists will present works exploring hunger, including readings, dance, song, poetry and photography.
Featuring Works By: Geoff Korf, Shishir Kurup, David Mas Masumoto, Bahni Turpin, and Alice Tuan
This one-night-only event is part of the Cornerstone Theater’s 2-week long event series entitled “Creative Seeds: An Exploration of Hunger.” Occurring in venues across Los Angeles, it features original panel discussions, roundtables, exhibitions and performances that look at the issue of hunger through an artistic lens. They’ve invited some of the region’s most innovative artists, food activists, farmers, chefs, food critics and thought leaders to participate – come join in the fun! For a complete schedule, click here.
This is a pay-what-you-can event with a suggested donation of $20. Advance purchase of tickets is highly suggested and can be done by clicking here.
Non-perishable food items will be collected at all “Creative Seeds” events. All items collected will go to benefit local food banks.
Even “Creative Seeds” is part of a bigger event! It is marks the launch of the Cornerstone Theaters “The Hunger Cycle”.
